Eddie Nketiah was the hero for Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners failed to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat by Hibernian in midweek after being held to a 2-2 draw with Rangers yesterday.
Actually, it was Arsenal who were the fortunate ones and if not for a late equaliser from Nketiah, Mikel Arteta’s side would’ve suffered yet another embarrassing defeat.
Here’s how some fans of the North London club responded to Nketiah’s three-word tweet after the game:
Linked away
The 22-year-old is linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium and honestly, he should take it.
The likes of Watford and West Ham United are reportedly interested in the England Under-21 international.
And because Arsenal boss Arteta only gave him four starts in the Premier League last term, the writing is on the wall more or less.
Remember, Folarin Balogun is tipped to become part of Arteta’s first-team squad and that will be at the expense of Nketiah.
If Nketiah doesn’t leave, it’s genuinely plausible that he won’t get a single minute of Premier League football and with no Europa League, there is simply no point in sticking around.
The Mirror reported in May that Arsenal would take £15 million for the player and that would be quite a decent price when you consider the fact that he isn’t even going to be a squad player any longer.
