Barry Douglas has said that Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips is so good that it is a ‘joke’, after his latest Instagram post.
Leeds were beaten 3-1 by Chelsea in their most recent outing, but Phillips once again impressed in the contest.
The England international looked comfortable in midfield, as Leeds put in a credible performance at Stamford Bridge, despite the defeat.
And Phillips said last night that there were plenty of positives to take from the game.
Douglas was clearly impressed by his former teammate’s display, as he wrote ‘You’re a joke’ in the comments section.
Phillips’s return from injury has helped Leeds pick up some impressive results in recent weeks, with his importance to the side clear.
The 25-year-old is almost certain to start on Friday evening, when Leeds are next in action against West Ham United.
If the Whites are able to beat David Moyes’s side then they will move up into the top half of the Premier League table, ahead of the weekend’s action.
