Stan Collymore does not mince his words while giving his take on various footballing issues, and he made his opinion known on Twitter to a Tottenham Hotspur fan and to a Newcastle United supporter.
The former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker is not displeased at Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) deciding to withdraw their proposal to buy Newcastle after the Premier League failed to make a decision after so many weeks, as reported by The Times.
Collymore believes that Newcastle deserve proper and fit owners, and he has also responded to a tweet from a Tottenham fan, stating that he is “a glory hunter”.
Meanwhile, former Newcastle star Mick Quinn has given his take on yet another proposed takeover of the Magpies falling through.
Moving on
While many Newcastle fans will be disappointed at the recent turn of events, there is nothing much they can do at the moment except move on and hope that there is a bid from someone else soon.
As for Tottenham, the North London club’s fans will hope that the club are able to keep hold of their best players, such as Harry Kane, this summer and make good additions to the squad for next season.
