Carney Chukwuemeka has told Kaine Kesler-Hayden on Instagram that it is ‘your time’ after he was recalled from his loan spell at Swindon by Aston Villa.

The 19-year-old was on-loan at the League Two side, but Villa decided to bring him back early.

Kesler-Hayden posted an emotional message on Instagram and how it’s ‘hard for me writing this’.

In the comments section, several players sent their messages to the thriving teenager after his six months in Swindon colours.

Chukwuemeka told him that he is ‘so proud’ of him and now is ‘your time’, whilst ex-Villa academy product, Jordan Lyden, added: ‘Been an absolute pleasure. Link up soon bro.’

It seems as though Kesler-Hayden’s performance against the Premier League champions, Manchester City, in the FA Cup caught the eye of his new manager, Steven Gerrard.

The flying fullback produced an outstanding performance against Pep Guardiola’s side, despite his team suffering a 4-1 defeat.

The Villa academy product did very well to deal with the threat of Gabriel Jesus and Joao Cancelo on his side by being composed and matching them with every movement.

Then it’s the positivity in which he dealt with the ball, he wasn’t fazed by having top-quality Premier League players trying to press him into mistakes and his use of the ball was excellent.

This would have probably been the first proper time Gerrard managed to get a look at him and it’s no surprise that he has been recalled.

Villa need a backup to Matty Cash because he is the only bonafide right-back at the club.

Gerrard also had the option of recalling the more senior player in Frédéric Guilbert, who, for the second season running, has been loaned out by the club.
