A Wigan Athletic youngster Leeds United will reportedly try again to sign in January has reacted on Twitter to a post from the Whites’ official account.
The Sun claims Leeds had a bid turned down for the Wigan midfielder Sean McGurk by the League One club’s administrators in the summer transfer window.
And the newspaper adds that United still want to sign the 17-year-old, who has yet to appear for the Latics at first-team level.
Leeds have already signed McGurk’s former teammate Joe Gelhardt and the latter has wasted little time impressing at Elland Road.

Gelhardt scored his second and third goals in seven games for Leeds Under-23s on Sunday – the last a superbly-taken solo effort.
McGurk appeared to like what he saw, commenting as follows:
And his response did not go unnoticed by a couple of Leeds fans.
McGurk is one of several talented youngsters, Gelhardt included, to have caught the eye in Wigan’s youth ranks in recent years.
But, as well as Gelhardt, the Latics were forced to sell Jensen Weir and Alfie Devine to Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.
