The former Celtic midfielder Liam Burt was back watching the Bhoys on Sunday.
Burt was released by Celtic for a second time earlier this year – midway through a two-year contract – and later trialled at English clubs Barnsley and Sunderland.
A permanent move failed materialised however and it was reported by The Daily Record last week that the 21-year-old is now on the radar of Aberdeen.
Burt is said to have attended the Dons’ 4-2 win against Hamilton.
And, as per the player’s Instagram story, he was present at Pittodrie on Sunday, as Aberdeen held Celtic – of all clubs – to a 3-3 draw.
The former Celtic players Niall McGinn, Dylan McGeouch and Jonny Hayes – one of Burt’s Parkhead teammates – are already on Aberdeen’s books.
Although, whether or not Burt joins them in the north east remains to be seen.
The Scotland Under-21 international failed to appear for the Celtic first team, but has more than 30 senior outings behind him from spells at Dumbarton, Alloa Athletic and Rangers.
Aberdeen fans – would the former Celtic kid be a useful addition?
