Amissah had six months left on his Leeds United contract.

The young Leeds United striker, Samuel Amissah, appears to have left Elland Road.
Amissah’s Leeds Under-23 teammate, Alfie McCalmont, posted a farewell message to the 18-year-old on Instagram earlier on Thursday evening.
It has been suggested on Twitter that Amissah will continue his career in Latvian football – a claim the player himself later retweeted.
And the Ghanaian’s Transfermarkt profile has him listed as an FK Liepaja player as of January 7 this year.
However, his departure has yet to be confirmed by Leeds, while there is no mention of Amissah on Liepaja’s official website or social media pages.
Amissah signed a two-year professional contract at Leeds 18 months ago, and was due to become a free agent in June.

Earlier this month, another member of Leeds’ U23 team, Alex Wollerton, appeared for Hull City’s development side on trial.
Like Amissah, Wollerton is also in the final six months of his deal at Elland Road.
