According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur could still make a move for Nice right-back Youcef Atal, and if they get a deal over the line it would be the icing on the cake on their deadline day.

Tottenham have seemingly been focused on getting at least one playmaker in, with Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon now on the verge of moves to White Hart Lane (Telegraph).

The Mail report that Dybala could yet also move to Tottenham, and these three moves have dominated the coverage in the media.

However, all of a sudden, Spurs are being linked with £34 million rated Atal again (Telegraph).

Tottenham could reportedly make a deadline day swoop for the Algerian and if they get him it would be a wonderful way to cap off their transfer window.

Tottenham may have more high profile players coming, but the addition of Atal could rank as their most important, if they manage to pull it off.

The right-sided defender looks to be one of the finest full-backs in European football and he is exactly what Tottenham need.

Spurs look short of options at right-back following Kieran Trippier’s departure, and Atal would be a huge upgrade.

And if Spurs can manage to bring him in at the last minute, it would be a sensational deadline day move, which could just elevate them into contention to lift the Premier League title this season.
