Alvaro Morata posted on his Instagram story ‘wishing you the best’ as he reacted to Tottenham signing Juventus duo, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski on transfer deadline day.
The former Chelsea man told Bentancur ‘you won’t need’ the good luck in his new chapter as a Tottenham player.
Whilst Spurs left it late, they were still one of the busier teams on the final day of the transfer window.
It could be argued that there were more significant outgoings at the club, rather than those who arrived.
Whilst the likes of Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele headed for the club’s exit door, it allowed Spurs to bring in Bentancur and Kulusevski.
Nonetheless, this was the message Morata sent to Bentancur on his IG story, after his move was confirmed.
“Bro, good luck,” said Morata. “But you won’t need it though. Wishing you the best always. It’s been a pleasure to share moments.”

Whilst Bentancur and Kulusevski weren’t regulars in Turin, you can just bet your bottom dollar that Antonio Conte is going to turn them into world-beaters.
From the teams fighting for Champions League football, Spurs were the only side who added fresh faces to their squad.
There were more outgoings than incomings at Manchester United, whilst West Ham seemingly tried for Leeds duo, Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, as reported by the Guardian.
But how serious they were in wanting to buy those two players is up in the air, because it may have been a case of them trying to appease fans that they are trying to buy players, rather than actually being realistic in their thinking.
As for Arsenal, they somehow made their squad weaker, in defence, midfield and also up front.
Yet, they didn’t replace loaned out players like Ainsley Maitland-Niles or players they wiped off the wage bill, such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who signed for Barcalona.
