Whisper it, but Arsenal just might qualify for the Champions League this season.

The Gunners survived a massive test of their top-four credentials on Thursday night.

Arsenal scored two goals in the final 15 minutes to secure a 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium.

In doing so, Mikel Arteta’s outfit moved one point behind fourth-placed Manchester United – and the Londoners still have two games in hand.

Finishing in the top four is very much in Arsenal’s hands and Ruben Neves has indirectly given the hosts some credit.

The Portuguese maestro, who slammed the Gunners’ for their celebrations at Molineux two weeks ago, admits that teams like the North Londoners ‘will make you suffer’ if you allow them to play.

He said after the game via The Mirror: “When you don’t have the ball against these kind of teams you will suffer. We need to manage the ball better against these kinds of teams.”

Champions League bound?

It’s been a rollercoaster season and no doubt there’ll be plenty additional twists and turns yet.

However, it does look very promising that Arsenal could finally get back into the Champions League.

The Emirates Stadium outfit dropped out of the top four in Arsene Wenger’s final two seasons in charge – 2017 and 2018 – but it’s very much in Arsenal’s hands now.

The worrying thing is that they struggle in a major way for goals.

Their last three Premier League victories have been by a one-goal margin and that could potentially catch up to them eventually.
