Rio Ferdinand told his official YouTube channel that he is unsure of what Leeds are going to produce following a number of ‘indifferent results’.

The former England defender stated that it ‘hasn’t been coming’ for Leeds in recent weeks, who suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League on Friday night.

It means that Marcelo Bielsa’s side are sitting in the bottom half of the table as they look for that much-needed consistency in their game.

Ahead of a busy festive schedule, Ferdinand shared his honest thoughts on his former side and what has wowed him.

“Leeds are just a bit indifferent,” said Ferdinand. “You just don’t know what you are going to get, at the moment.

“They started the season like a house on fire. Then all of a sudden ‘bang’. They just get a few indifferent results and you think ‘wow’, especially when you are the home team. Leeds will be expecting to dominate but it just hasn’t been coming up.

“They had a couple of decent chances [against West Ham]. On another day, they go in and it’s a different result.”

It will be interesting to see if Bielsa dips into the transfer market and adds more depth to his squad because it is needed, especially at the back where they have been hit by injuries.

But the problem that lies with that is Bielsa doesn’t like to work with a big squad, so if little business is done when the transfer window re-opens then it won’t be a surprise.

The key thing for Leeds is that they are still being that Leeds that won promotion under Bielsa, it’s just a case of the little things clicking and some much-needed luck going their way.
