Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has hit out at Gary Neville after his defence of Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

Fighting back

Neville has refused to call for Solskjær to be sacked by Manchester United due to the relationship that he shares with the Norwegian.

Neville was challenged on his opinion yesterday on social media, but stood by his stance, saying that he was staying out of the gutter by doing so.

However, Roberts was keen to remind the Sky Sports pundit of his actions with Harry Kane over the summer.

Neville, of course, conducted the interview where Kane publicly outlined his ambitions to leave Spurs.

Kane never got his move away from Tottenham in the end, but that interview is one which is still heavily criticised by supporters of the North London club.

And Roberts was quick to call out Neville’s morale stance on social media last night.

Out of sorts

Kane’s form for Tottenham has not appeared to have been right ever since the speculation over his future.

The England captain has just one Premier League goal to his name this term, with some questioning his effort levels.

Kane has scored prolifically in Europe, but if he doesn’t start finding the back of the net more regularly in domestic competition it is difficult to see Tottenham challenging for a Champions League place this term.
