Jonathan Woodgate has claimed that Jesse Marsch reacted like Leeds United had scored when they were winning the ball back against Leicester City on Saturday at the King Power, as he told BBC Sport.
The former Leeds defender praised Marsch for his passionate reaction from the touchline in his debut game as manager.
Whilst the American was all-action on the touchline, he couldn’t do much to stop his side from suffering yet another defeat.
But, those in Yorkshire have to look at the positives and that’s the fact that they created enough chances to win.
Added with allowing the least number of shots they have faced in the Premier League since October.
Nonetheless, this is what Woodgate noticed about Marsch on the touchline and how he was reacting to his players winning the ball back.
“You see Jesse Marsch’s reaction when Leeds just won the ball back,” said Woodgate.
“It was like they had scored a goal. He clenches his fist as if to say “brilliant boys.”

Marsch will now take charge of his first home game when Leeds lock horns with Aston Villa on Thursday at a packed-out Elland Road.
Both Leeds and Villa last met in February and they recorded an enthralling and all-action 3-3 draw.
Back then, Steven Gerrard’s side were struggling for form and, just like the Whites, they were conceding goals for fun.
But, since then, Villa have won back-to-back matches, secured back-to-back clean sheets, including beating in-form Southampton 4-0 over the weekend.
