Tottenham Hotspur are majorly lacking a footballer like Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard.
At least, that is what Gabby Agbonlahor told Jamie O’Hara live on talkSPORT this evening.
Spurs endured a difficult first 45 minutes at home to Everton tonight, struggling to break down the Toffees’ defence.
And Agbonlahor told the former Tottenham midfielder that someone like the Arsenal playmaker would be ideal.
He told talkSPORT: “You need Odegaard, don’t you. You need a number 10 to get into the pockets and make things happen. Arsenal play against teams who drop off. They’ll break them down. Spurs are missing a number 10 for these types of games.”

To be honest, the Lilywhites have needed a playmaker for almost three years.
Tottenham sold Christian Eriksen to Inter Milan in the winter of 2020 and you could argue that the Denmark international hasn’t been replaced.
That’s perhaps why Antonio Conte was among the coaches reportedly interested in signing the now-Manchester United maestro during the summer.
There’s no doubt that the Italian manager is missing someone like the Arsenal player.
Creativity is a massive problem in games where Son Heung-min and Harry Kane are struggling to provide the magic and, honestly, it’s been like this for quite a while.
Come January, don’t be surprised if Tottenham make the addition of a playmaker their priority.
