Everton winger Yannick Bolasie is seemingly having fun on Twitter winding up Liverpool fans ahead of the Merseyside derby.
The 31-year-old, who hasn’t featured for Everton this season, sent messages about their former player Dejan Lovren and the team as a whole for conceding seven against Aston Villa before the international break.
Whilst Bolasie did aim a few jabs at Liverpool, he did make it clear that he has the ‘utmost respect’ for someone like Lovren.
Compared to other years, this weekend’s Merseyside derby seems like it will be the biggest for a very long time.
The only crying shame is that there will be no supporters there to witness it given the current situation in the world and the government guidelines.
Either way, it won’t stop a potentially crazy match from taking place between the current Premier League leaders and the current champions of England.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have won every game so far this season in all competitions, whilst their neighbours conceded a mammoth seven to Aston Villa last time out.
The duo already have had a taste of playing the Merseyside derby behind closed doors because they did just that when they met at Goodison Park after lockdown.

That game finished goalless with both teams not really having any zip, flair or speed to their game. But the opposite will be expected on Saturday.
If Everton can pull off a win then it will make a number of people sit up and think whether or not the club can do the unthinkable.
But If Jurgen Klopp’s men walk away from Goodison with all three points then they will just feel that normal service has resumed.
