Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are devastated after Paul Joyce delivered the news that Diogo Jota is currently struggling with a knee injury.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a clue how serious this issue is yet as the knock he picked up against Midtjylland hasn’t settled down enough for the club’s medical team to have a proper look at it.

However, it has to be said that this update doesn’t sound good at all. A knee injury can potentially be very serious, as Liverpool fans know all too well after their string of problems this season.

The fact that his injury sustained in the Champions League hasn’t settled down yet after almost 72 hours is also very worrying, and as you can imagine, this sent some Reds fans into a bit of a frenzy.

Supporters were understandably devastated about hearing Jota had picked up a knee injury, especially after the stellar start to his Anfield career.

Others read into Joyce’s tweet, speculating that this injury was rather significant, but as we mentioned, we can’t be certain what this problem is as of yet.

We can only hope that Jota’s issue is minor and he’s back in action sooner rather than later.

Here’s what the Anfield faithful have been saying on social media.
