Danny Rose says he hopes Tottenham Hotspur know whether Antonio Conte will be in charge of them next season, as he pointed out that the likes of Arsenal are already ‘preparing for Champions League football’.

There is uncertainty over Conte’s future at Tottenham and matters were made worse when they were booted out of the Champions League by AC Milan on Wednesday night.

That just turned the heat up in the Spurs kitchen amid questions about whether their £288k-a-week boss will still be in charge in the summer.

Whilst there is doubt and uncertainty on one side of north London, it’s pretty rosy across the road.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are sitting top of the Premier League table and pushing for the title. They know Champions League football will return next season, it’s just a case of whether that all-important title could be won again.

When talking about Tottenham’s future and who will be in charge of the club, Danny Rose used clubs around Spurs as examples of how they are prepared, as he told Sky Sports News (08/03/23).

“As a football club, you would like to think that you know your manager is going to be there,” said Rose. “Already, Liverpool, for sure, are preparing for next season’s transfers.

“You know Chelsea will be. You know Arsenal will be preparing for Champions League football next season. I hope Tottenham will be doing the same and a manager is in place and ready to start come the end of June and the start of July.”

TOTTENHAM ARE IN A WORLD OF MESS

As wrong as it can go for Tottenham, it’s going just as right for their bitter rivals, as a result, that’s probably a bitter pill to swallow.

Who is to blame? Daniel Levy? The players? Or Conte? Perhaps it’s a mix of everything.

One thing is for sure, it doesn’t seem healthy that Conte should be in charge beyond this season because a long-term manager is needed and the Italian isn’t that.

As a result, why don’t they just boot him out of the door now and get on with trying to build for the future because he is just wasting air time still being at the club now?
