Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Joe Hart has congratulated Harvey White on Instagram on signing a new contract.
As announced by Tottenham on their official website today (4:30pm), White has signed a new contract with the North London club.
The 19-year-old midfielder – who trains regularly with the Spurs first team, according to comments from head coach Jose Mourinho last month – has committed his future to Tottenham until 2024.
Tottenham goalkeeper Hart, who joined the North London club on a free transfer in the summer of 2020, has congratulated White on signing a new deal, and is surprised that the teenager managed to keep it quiet.
Hart responded: “Congrats mate @harveywhite48 you keep that one quiet!!??”
Jack Clarke responded: “4 more years off you it is I guess🤷🏻♂️🤣 congrats broski👏🏼❤️”
One for the future
White is only 19 years of age and is still developing as a footballer, and it is great that Tottenham have so much faith in him that they have decided to hand him a new deal.
It is unlikely that the teenager will become a regular in the first team in the coming weeks, but training under Mourinho and with experienced players on a regular basis will only make him better.
White could prove to be a big player for Spurs in the coming years.
