Jim White has told talkSPORT (18/08/21 at 10:40 am) that ‘you have to source’ the noise coming out about Harry Kane today to the Tottenham striker’s camp.

It has been suggested by the Telegraph that Kane was told by Tottenham last summer that he could leave during this transfer window, if they failed to win a trophy or finish in the Champions League places.

The Telegraph also suggested that Kane is ‘frustrated’ by his so-called gentleman’s agreement not being met.

Former Manchester City winger, Trevor Sinclair, added that the £150 million fee suggested for Kane’s talents is ‘too much’.

White stated that there is ‘nothing’ coming from Tottenham’s side and he thinks all these claims are possibly being fed from the Kane camp.

“It has emerged this morning, and you have to source this to the Harry Kane camp,” said White. “That Kane himself believes Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has broken a promise to let him leave this summer.

“A whole bunch of factors have come to light this morning, which when you stack them up, set out to show why Kane and his people thought a move to Man City could and by now should have been a reality.

“It’s almost desperate now. But is this damage limitations by the Harry Kane camp? Of course not, (nothing coming from Spurs camp). Nothing from them. They are a closed shop.”

Sinclair added: “Not for me (at £150m). It’s too much money. When you are talking about Harry Kane, you know the quality and numbers he comes with. But you also know he’s not perfect.”

Well, what a mess Nuno Espirito Santo has walked into at Spurs and one that has made his job that more difficult in North London.

That 1-0 win against Man City on Sunday just eases the pressure and ensures the focus remains on what is happening off the field.

If Spurs started off the Premier League season – and they still could – in a poor fashion then there would be pressure all over the shop.

But if they can carry on winning games then it can cover up the cracks that are appearing regarding this saga because it will all be over by the time the transfer window slams shut.
