Michael Owen has admitted that he is ‘surprised’ by the impact Arsenal’s new signing Gabriel Jesus has made at the club.
The former England striker added that he ‘always rated’ Jesus as a player following his transfer from Manchester City this summer.
Even though Jesus was winning Premier League titles at the Etihad and playing Champions League football on a regular basis, including playing the big games for Pep Guardiola.

He decided to make that move to the Emirates Stadium and work with Mikel Arteta again, who is trying to get the club back alongside the elite.
The first way to do that is to get back into the Champions League and Jesus will play a big part in what happens this season.
The 25-year-old has started like a house on fire, as Owen expressed why he probably felt for him during his days at Man City, as he told Premier League Productions.
“I think you have to be surprised at the impact,” said Owen. “I always rated him as a player. I always thought he would score loads of goals for Man City.
“Then he started playing out on the right. Aguero was always ahead of him, then someone else comes in. You just never felt that he was going to be the answer or the number one.
“But now since he has gone to Arsenal, pre-season was electric and now he has continued that into the season.”

JESUS ONE OF THE SIGNINGS OF THE SUMMER
There was a lot of excitement when Arsenal managed to secure Jesus’ talents and he hasn’t let people down.
Pre-season was a blast for the Brazil international and sometimes hype might not match reality.
But that’s been further from the truth because his two goals and three assists have contributed to Arteta’s side winning their opening four matches.
Arsenal sit top of the Premier League table and they should breeze past out-of-sorts Aston Villa on Wednesday night before taking on Manchester United at the weekend.
