Jamie Carragher has given his verdict on Arsenal star Kai Havertz after watching him in action against Sheffield United.
Arsenal hammered Sheffield United 6-0 away from home in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Kai Havertz was among the goalscorers. The Germany international midfielder found the back of the net in the 25th minute.
The 24-year-old, who joined Arsenal from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2023, provided an assist as well.
Jamie Carragher names note on Arsenal star Kai Havertz
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher was following the match for Sky Sports, and he noticed that Havertz playing as a false nine is helping Arsenal score more goals.
Carragher has said that since Gabriel Jesus has not been starting, Arsenal have been banging in the goals for fun.

Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium, hammered West Ham United 6-0 at London Stadium, destroyed Burnley 5-0 at Turf Moor and eased past Newcastle United 4-1 in North London in February. Jesus did not start any of those games.
Carragher said about Havertz on Sky Sports News (10:18 pm, March 4, 2024): “What you have got to remember is that since Havertz has come back into the team, it has not always been him getting goals. He gets his goals tonight, but Arsenal have started to score a lot of goals since Jesus has gone out of the team and almost like playing without a striker in a certain sense.”
My View: Arsenal have found a way not to rely on one goalscorer
Arsenal do not have a world-class striker or goalscorer like Liverpool and Manchester City do. While Mohamed Salah bangs in the goals for fun for the Reds, Erling Haaland is a goalscoring machine for the Citizens.
Gabriel Jesus is not a prolific striker, and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has found a way to get all of the attacking players to score goals.
Bukayo Saka has scored 16 goals in all competitions for Arsenal so far this season, while Leandro Trossard has found the back of the net 10 times.
Martin Odegaard has scored nine goals, while Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz have scored eight each.
