Kyle Walker-Peters has told Tottenham Hotspur-owned, Troy Parrott, ‘you got this’ on Instagram after his injury on-loan at Preston North End.
It might be easier to take if you suffer an injury because you have been involved in a hard-hitting game or your hamstrings have gone when you are trying to put your foot down on the accelerator out on the pitch.
But to do it when you are celebrating your first league goal for your loan club, is something else.

And that’s exactly what happened to 20-year-old Parrott in the colours of Championship promotion-chasers Preston when he pulled his hamstring whilst celebrating his goal during their 3-2 win against Norwich City.
Well, on Tuesday, the Spurs academy product posted on his Instagram that the ‘surgery went well’ and his ‘recovery starts now’.
Southampton defender Walker-Peters wrote in the comments section: ‘You got this, bro’, whilst Tottenham’s official IG account added: ‘Come back stronger.’
PARROTT’S PROGRESSION
There was a lot of hype around Parrott as a teenager, both at Tottenham and on the international stage for the Republic of Ireland.
Whilst he enjoyed a fruitful spell at League One side MK Dons last season – they were beaten in the play-off semi-finals – he has struggled when playing in England’s second-tier.
Previously at Millwall, and now at Preston prior to his injury, not only has the Irishman lacked the ability to put the ball into the back of the net, but also his build-up play, elevating those around him and making an impact outside of the penalty area.
But he should only look towards someone like Harry Kane, who didn’t exactly set the world alight during his various loan spells at the likes of Millwall, Leicester City and Norwich City, yet he is now one of the world’s best.
