Speaking on Vibe with Five, Max Aarons has been speaking about Norwich’s game against Arsenal and the atmosphere at the Emirates this weekend.

Arsenal got their first league win of the season against Aarons’ Canaries, and the right-back has been speaking about playing in front of the Gunners supporters.

The right-back said he noticed that the fans and the players were tense before this game.

What’s been said?

Aarons was speaking about his match against the Gunners.

“It was alright to be fair. You could tell Arsenal were under pressure, you could feel it from the fans, they were a bit tense. The players were a bit tense, you could feel it in the stadium. Going there as Norwich we felt we could get something out of the game and it was frustrating not to, to be honest,” Aarons said.

Tense atmosphere

To be honest, we’d be tense as well if we were at the Emirates this weekend.

As much as people joke about it, this was a big game for Arsenal, ad while the ‘relegation six-pointer’ jokes were rather wide of the mark if Norwich had beaten the Gunners you’d have to have thought about the London club being in serious trouble.

Luckily, Arsenal managed to get the victory and a game against Burnley next week represents a great chance to build a bit of momentum.

Perhaps the Emirates won’t be so tense going forward now that Mikel Arteta’s side have finally got some points on the board.
