Once again, after a game at Elland Road, Leeds United’s pitch has been a talking point and it was no different last night.
Anfield legend Graeme Souness told Sky Sports, as posted by Football Daily, that Leeds’ pitch is an ‘absolute disaster’ and players ‘cannot stop slipping’.
Slips or no slips, Leeds won’t be fussed with how last night panned out because they recorded a deserved 3-0 win against Southampton.
And during the half-time break, when the scores were 0-0, Souness was sure to mention Leeds’ problem pitch once again.
“I have to say, the pitch is an absolute disaster,” said Souness. “There are going to be some very sore groins tomorrow from both sides.
“You cannot stop slipping. So, it’s super difficult for them to get the ball moving as quickly as they want it to move. “

In January, Leeds made the decision to relay their previous pitch with a hybrid turf after poor weather had caused havoc on their green carpet.
Well, whilst the change was seemingly needed, it hasn’t made the positive impact that those in charge would have liked.
There’s no doubt that, from the perspective of the pitch, the summer couldn’t come any sooner because a proper change is needed.
