Everton fans have been reacting to the pivotal late cameo of former midfielder Marouane Fellaini in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
All smiles: Everton manager Ronald Koeman
Ronald Koeman’s side were on course for a defeat until ex-Everton star Fellaini entered the fray late on.
It was a sub designed to help kill the game by Jose Mourinho but instead Fellaini’s clumsy trip on Idrissa Gueye handed the Blues a penalty in the closing stages as they rescued a 1-1 draw.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho
Mourinho was slammed by Red Devils fans for making the change after it backfired and cost United another two points as their hopes of Champions League qualification dwindle.

The likes of pundit Gary Lineker were quick to make jokes about Fellaini costing his side the game against his old club, remarking it was his best game…for Everton.
And the irony was not lost on the Goodison Park faithful either who did not hold back on Twitter.
One fan summed up the feeling towards their old charge when he said: “Fellaini coming on to waste time and giving a pen away hahaha, you can take the boy out of Everton, but you can’t take everton out of the boy.”
