Andy Cole praised Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on talkSPORT (3:41pm, November 22, 2020).

The former Manchester United striker, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, said that he has been impressed by Ndombele’s recent performances for Spurs.

Cole believes that the 23-year-old France international is now showing why Tottenham paid a lot of money for him.

As reported by BBC Sport, the Premier League club signed the youngster from Lyon in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee of £53.8 million.

Cole said about Ndombele on talkSPORT (3:41pm, November 22, 2020).: “I was watching him play recently for Tottenham, and he has been one of Tottenham’s best performers. That pass he put in yesterday for Son’s goal, that’s the quality he has shown.

“He is very comfortable when he receives the ball, he can play one or two-touch football, he can go past someone, he can create chances, that’s why they paid all that money for him. You can see it now.”

Important player for Tottenham Hotspur

Ndombele did not have the best of seasons in 2019-20, but the France international has established himself as an important player for Tottenham this campaign.

The 23-year-old is one of first names on the Spurs teamsheet when he is fit and available, and his impressive performance against Manchester City at the weekend once again underlined the impact he makes on matches.

According to WhoScored, the Frenchman has made seven starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
