Frank Lampard hailed the character of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, as he told Match of the Day.
The Premier League legend was speaking about the way the England players present themselves and the ‘spirit’ within the side.
England, who are only two wins away from winning Euro 2020, thrashed Ukraine 4-0 over the weekend.
And West Ham fans will love the fact that Lampard used Rice as an example when talking about the characters within this thriving England camp.
“They all speak brilliantly, first all,” said Lampard. “It looks like a really good young group of players.
“They are comfortable in themselves. You can see the spirit. It definitely translates onto the pitch.
“We saw it against Germany, the Declan Rice’s, the characters in this group.”

There’s no doubt that Rice has taken his game to another level during this England run and nothing seems to be stopping the Hammers man.
Alongside Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips in the middle of the park, the duo have been outstanding for their country – Gareth Southgate’s side are yet to concede a goal during this tournament.
And whilst many questioned both players before the tournament started, many are now eating their words.
Some even questioned whether they could play alongside each other, but once again, they have blown that out of the water and shown it is more than possible.
