Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, former England women’s international Farrah Williams has been speaking about West Ham and Said Benrahma.

The Hammers are in sensational form right now. They’re third in the Premier League and they’re coming off the back of an incredible win against Liverpool at the weekend.

The London club have been ever so impressive this season, and Williams puts that down to the work rate of every single player, stating that even the flair players in the team are now working hard.

What’s been said?

Williams says that every West Ham player is working hard, claiming that even a player as skilful as Benrahma is now putting in the hard yards.

“Their more creative players, what you can see is the fundamentals, they work hard as a team, even their creative players. Look at someone like Benrahma and how he’s changed his game now and the work rate that he gives off the ball. Those basic fundamentals where every player wants to play for Moyes, it sets a nice foundation for the team,” Williams said.

Moyes’ mark

Benrahma is working incredibly hard for the team, and while he deserves individual praise for that, we have to put this down to David Moyes’ influence.

The Hammers’ manager has somehow instilled this type of mentality into every single one of his players. They all put in 100 per cent every single time they step onto the pitch, and that’s Moyes’ doing.

West Ham may not be the prettiest team in the Premier League, but sometimes, you can’t beat a bit of hard work and determination.
