Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has praised Leeds United on Premier League Productions after the match at Elland Road last night.
Leeds came from a goal down to play out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Elland Road in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Mane, who scored the goal for the Reds, was impressed by the performance of Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
The 29-year-old Senegal international forward – who cost the Reds £34 million in transfer fees, according to BBC Sport – has added that Leeds showed a lot of energy and ran a lot.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was also impressed by Leeds and praised them after the game.
Mane said about Leeds on Premier League Productions: “Well, you can see, they run a lot. They have high energy. In the second half they wanted to score, of course, they also created some chances, and at the end of the day they scored the goal, and I think they deserved the goal.”
Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “If you saw Leeds more often maybe then you know how tricky it is to play against them. We did really well. They make the pitch big, they want to play in different areas, are pretty direct, running in behind, all these kind of things.”

Deserved draw
Leeds have shown time and time again this season that they can compete with the big teams, and the way they came back against Liverpool did not really come as a surprise.
The Leeds players are very fit and work hard until the final whistle, and the fans should be proud at how they played against the defending Premier League champions.
There is a very good chance that Leeds will finish in the Premier League top 10 this season.
