Speaking on his podcast, Gary Neville has delivered his verdict on West Ham’s chances next season.
The pundit says that he’s really enjoyed watching the Hammers this term, but he fears for the club due to the fact that bigger clubs could swoop in and snatch some of their top stars.
He says that he hopes that they can keep this group together so that the fans can see this group together, but he says that there’s ever chance that some of their players get picked up.
“I’ve really enjoyed West Ham this season, and I think that for the fans to have not been able to witness that at a time when they’ve needed that more than ever to connect everyone together with a really good season is a real disappointment, but it’s a brilliant achievement by David Moyes and the players,” Neville said.
“What I do hope is that they can keep that group together for West Ham fans next season because you can imagine that West Ham could be a club like Southampton and like a couple of other clubs that when they have a successful time, big clubs can sort of hone in on their players.”

Sadly, Neville might be right.
West Ham have had some real standout performers this season and we wouldn’t blame any top club who came in for the likes of Tomas Soucek of Vladimir Coufal.
Of course, we hope that West Ham manage to keep this core together, but as we’ve seen over the years, when the big clubs come calling, it’s very hard to turn them down.
This summer is bound to be a nervy one for the Hammers.
