Celtic’s Moussa Dembele celebrated as France won the World Cup on Sunday.

France won the World Cup on Sunday afternoon, beating Croatia 4-2 in the final at the Luzhniki Stadium – and Celtic’s Moussa Dembele poked fun at England after the final whistle.
Didier Deschamps’ side were favourites heading into the game, and whilst Croatia made a strong start, Mario Mandzukic headed Antoine Griezmann’s free kick into his own net to give France the lead.
Ivan Perisic did equalise for Croatia, but Griezmann scored from the spot after Perisic was controversially penalised for a handball, giving France a 2-1 lead at half time.

Paul Pogba and then Kylian Mbappe both found the net to put France 4-1 up, and whilst Mandzukic embarrassed Hugo Lloris with a consolation, France saw out the game to win 4-2.
France were worthy winners not only on the day, but also over the course of the whole tournament, as they always appeared to be in control of games and always seemed to have enough to get the job done.
After the final whistle, Celtic’s Paris-born striker Moussa Dembele – a France Under-21 international – took to Twitter to offer his reaction, and decided to poke fun at England.
England fans spent much of the tournament singing the famous ‘it’s coming home’ lines from Three Lions, but they of course lost to Croatia in the semi-finals – and Dembele posted that football is really coming home now France have won the World Cup.
Celtic fans unsurprisingly loved the post, suggesting that he was ‘savage’ and a Celtic legend for mocking England, with supporters showing their love for Dembele whilst backing him to be in the France squad at the 2020 World Cup.
