Tottenham Hotspur’s official post this morning has only served to frustrate fans even further.
Not a happy camp
Tottenham posted a tweet saying ‘work to be done’ with a quote from Oliver Skipp, following yesterday’s game.
However, the message may not have had the galvanising impact on Tottenham fans that the club had hoped.
Instead, many Spurs fans were questioning why Skipp was the man picked to speak after another defeat in a London derby, rather than a more experienced pro.
Others, meanwhile, simply suggested that actions now speak louder than words – after seeing their side lose their first London derby of the campaign.
Skipp in credit
In fairness to Tottenham’s players, both Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris did do some media after the defeat at the London Stadium.
However, Tottenham fans’ frustrations are understandable, after what was another insipid display in an important derby game.
Skipp, at least, was able to walk away from the London Stadium with some credit.
The youngster had added a bite to Tottenham’s midfield and now seems to be one of the first names on Nuno’s team sheet.
