Clinton Morrison has told Leeds United ‘you are going to get relegated’ if they don’t pick up points against Leicester City and Bournemouth.

Six games remain for Javi Gracia to try and save Leeds United from the drop – but Morrison feels, a lot of that, will depend on what happens this week because he is starting to change his mind about the club after feeling they would ‘easily’ survive a return to the Championship.

On Tuesday night, the White welcome Dean Smith’s Leicester City to Elland Road, before travelling to the South Coast to take on another struggling side – Bournemouth.

Leeds have shipped a staggering 11 goals from their last two home games, including losing 2-1 at Fulham over the weekend, so the Foxes are going to fancy themselves.

Whilst Leicester have also shipped goals for fun this season. They have still managed to score 43 goals – the most from any team in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

So, expect goals galore in Yorkshire, but Morrison made it clear, the home team have to start getting the points on the board again, as he told Sky Sports News (23/04/23).

“I worry for Leeds,” said Morrison. “I thought they would easily be safe. But I am worried for them.

“Leicester and then Bournemouth. You don’t get anything from them, then you are going to get relegated. They are two massive games. They are two cup finals. You need to take points off the teams in and around them.

“But, at the moment, they are short of confidence. Look at that, they then (after the next two games), go to Manchester City away, Newcastle at home, and then West Ham away, which is a tough one. I don’t care where West Ham are in the league. It’s always tough, then Tottenham at home.

“Then, you look at the next two games and you are thinking ‘we must take points’.”

LEEDS UNITED WILL SURVIVE

Just like last season, the Elland Road crowd will keep them in the Premier League.

Even after such woeful performances, they are still out of danger, that’s how abject some teams down the bottom have been this season.

But, whatever the end result for Leeds, serious questions need to be asked of those in the boardroom because heads need to roll.
