Gary Neville has said on The Overlap that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will not finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season if Gabriel Jesus gets injured.

The Sky Sports pundit made the comments while discussing the squad strength of Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Gunners suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League this past season.

Neville believes that if Jesus, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, gets injured, then the Gunners will struggle to get into the top four.

Important player for the Gunners

In our view, Gabriel Jesus has been superb for Arsenal and has been one of the best players for manager Mikel Arteta’s side so far this season.

The 25-year-old Brazil international has hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium and is banging in the goals for fun.

Jesus has scored three goals and given three assists in six Premier League appearances for Arsenal so far this season.

If Arsenal are to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and also make an impact in the UEFA Europa League, then, in our opinion, Jesus will have to be on top of his game and continue to score goals throughout.
