The bottom of the Championship table looked incredibly tight with just two games to go. Huddersfield Town were in a spot of bother for a moment but a stunning victory against West Bromwich Albion secured their place in the division.

Not many people gave the Terriers a chance against the Baggies who are now promoted back to the Premier League. An early goal from Chris Willock settled the nerves but an equaliser just before half-time made fans fear the worse.

Thankfully for them, teenage sensation Emile Smith Rowe stepped up off the bench to score an 86th-minute winner to keep the club in the Championship for yet another season.

Smith Rowe has earned himself plenty of plaudits this season. The Arsenal loanee will head back to the Emirates this summer but he took the time to pay a heartfelt tribute to Huddersfield Town and their fans on Twitter.

Terriers fans loved Smith Rowe’s message to the club. The teenager has a bright future ahead of him and it is highly unlikely that Arsenal will send him back to Huddersfield for another loan spell next season.

That hasn’t stopped Huddersfield supporters from showing their love for the young attacker. Many of them responded to his tweet on Twitter with some saying that he was always welcome to come back to the club in the future.

Here is how a few of them reacted on Twitter:
