Redfearn wants two or three additions
Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn says that he is hoping to make two or three additions to his squad in the coming month.
The Whites’ form has been concerning for a sustained period of time now and Redfearn admits that bringing in quality may be the only solution to their demise.
“I’ve got to get my head together with them and see which is the best way forward, but in my opinion I think we need two or three players to stiffen us up,” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Wednesday not interested in sales
Sheffield Wednesday will not be selling any of their stars in the January transfer window, according to chairman Milan Mandaric.
Tom Lees and Kieren Westwood are two of the players who have been linked with moves away from Hillsborough, but the Owls are not looking to cash in on the pair.
“We don’t want to sell any players,” Mandaric insisted to the Sheffield Star. “We are not selling a club.”
Clough seeks out players with desire
With Sheffield United prepared to dip into the transfer market imminently, manager Nigel Clough says that they won’t be held to ransom over wages.
The Blades are prepared to spend to improve their squad, but Clough is only interested in players who have a desire to push the side up the League One table.
“Finance is the last thing we talk about,” he said to the Sheffield Star. “The first thing is whether someone really wants to represent Sheffield United.
“If they don’t, or we sense any doubt, then that’s it. Full stop. We won’t bother messing about or going any further.”
