The France international, who played for Newcastle from 2011 until 2014 before moving to Paris Saint-Germain, is pleased to see the Magpies return to the Premier League as Championship winners.

Meanwhile, Jermaine Jenas has stated on Twitter that his former club Newcastle deserved to return to the Premier League as Championship winners.

Jenas has also congratulated another of his former clubs, Nottingham Forest, on escaping the drop to League One on goal difference.

Forest have finished the season 21st in the Championship table with 51 points from 46 points.
