Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Leicester’s Wesley Fofana posted an Instagram story about William Saliba’s move to OGC Nice.
The 19-year-old will finally get some first-team football under his belt in his native France, as a loan move was confirmed yesterday.
However, given his severe lack of first-team action this season, Fofana appeared to somewhat mock Arsenal’s treatment of Saliba.
On Instagram, the £36.5 million centre-back said his fellow Frenchman was ‘finally free’ from the Emirates after sealing an exit.
Fofana’s comments make it sound as if Saliba was being held captive in north London – in fairness, he was in a footballing sense.

Mikel Arteta failed to hand the teenager a single minute of first-team action before his move to OGC Nice.
So far this term, Saliba has made six appearances in the Premier League 2, as well as two outings in the Papa John’s Trophy Cup.
While there isn’t any malice in Fofana’s comments, some Arsenal fans below feel as if the Foxes defender is ‘mocking’ the Gunners and their treatment of his friend.

In truth, it’s staggering to think Arteta handed minutes to someone like Shkodran Mustafi over Saliba.
The German’s contract expires in June, so the Frenchman – arguably the future of Arsenal’s backline – should’ve been played instead, in our view.
Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Fofana’s comments…
