Some Arsenal fans on social media have been reacting to reports claiming that Inter Miami want to sign Willian this summer.
Willian only joined Arsenal in 2020, but after less than a year at the Emirates, it seems as though he could be on his way out.
It’s fair to say that the Brazilian hasn’t had the best of times since joining the north London outfit. He’s scored just one league goal and he’s struggled for form under Mikel Arteta.
Understandably, Arsenal fans were more than happy to see that an underperforming player on big wages could be set to leave the club.
To be fair, we can’t blame them either, Willian hasn’t justified the mammoth wages he is on this term, and getting him off the books would free up a decent amount of cash that the Gunners can put towards rebuilding their squad.
Whether or not Willian does end up moving to MLS this summer remains to be seen, but if he is sold, it would certainly be a popular move amongst the Arsenal fanbase.
