Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after Abdoulaye Doucouré provided a positive update on his recovery from injury.
The £20 million man suffered a foot injury during the 1-0 win over West Brom back on March 4th, and had to be withdrawn in the second-half.
Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the Frenchman would ‘miss some games’ as a result of the issue – it’s safe to say he was telling the truth.
Doucouré isn’t even back in training yet, in what is a massive blow to the Toffees at a crucial stage of the campaign.
The 28-year-old has emerged as a vital player for Ancelotti following his move from Watford, starting 25 Premier League games before his injury.

It speaks volumes that Everton have failed to win any of the three games Doucouré has missed as a result of his foot issue.
The Toffees have only been able to muster up one point from games against Chelsea, Burnley and Crystal Palace without their French powerhouse.
Thankfully, Doucouré’s tweet is a positive one – it sounds like his rehabilitation is going smoothly.

Let’s hope he can get back to action as soon as possible, while Everton’s hopes of a Champions League place are still alive.
As things stand, the Toffees sit eighth, and are just five points off fourth with a game in hand.
Let’s see how the Everton fans on Twitter reacted to Doucouré’s tweet…
