Some Arsenal fans on social media are over the moon after the Telegraph reported that Leicester City are in for Ryan Bertrand.

The Gunners have long been linked with a move for Bertrand, and after he announced that he’d be leaving Southampton at the end of the season, it looked as though a move was on the cards.

However, it now seems as though Bertrand could instead be headed to the East Midlands, and some Gunners believe they may have had a lucky escape here.

To be fair, we can see where they’re coming from, Bertrand is 32 years old and the London club have quite a bad record when it comes to overpaying ageing players, with Willian being a prime example of that.

When the rumours about Bertrand first emerged the Arsenal fanbase was split, so it’s understandable that some supporters are happy to hear he may be off to Leicester.

Where Bertrand ends up remains to be seen, but if he signs for Leicester, there’ll be a fair few Arsenal supporters who are relieved.

Here’s what the Gunners fanbase have been saying on social media…
