Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Football London revealed that Martin Ødegaard is keen to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
The reliable news outlet claim that Arsenal’s No.11 has told close friends that he would like to continue playing for the Gunners.
Ødegaard is understood to be very impressed by Mikel Arteta, and is on board with the Spaniard’s project in north London.
The Norway international is also delighted about how quickly he has been made to feel welcome at Arsenal.
However, Football London add that there is no option to buy in Ødegaard’s contract with Arsenal.
It is also said that the 22-year-old will not force an exit from Real Madrid.
In that respect, it is up to Arsenal to make Zinedine Zidane an attractive offer, to convince Los Blancos to part ways with the Scandinavian playmaker.
Ødegaard has impressed hugely since his January arrival in England.
He’s netted crucial goals against Olympiacos and Tottenham, while the midfield maestro also ran the game as Arsenal fought back from 3-0 down against West Ham.
In our view, Arsenal must go all out for Ødegaard – this is too good of an opportunity to pass up for Arteta.
