Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Football London‘s Chris Wheatley revealed that the club have offered Kido Taylor-Hart a contract.
Something must’ve changed within hours yesterday.
Football London published an article at 6am stating that Taylor-Hart was set to leave the Gunners, as he hadn’t been offered a new contract.
However, that same day just after 5pm, Wheatley reported that Arsenal had now made the 18-year-old a contract offer, much to the delight of supporters.
The teenager has impressed at Under-18 level this season with six goals and four assists in nine appearances.
The Hale End prodigy has also featured for Steve Bould’s Under-23 side this term.
Such is his potential, Football London add that clubs from Germany, Holland, Belgium and also England are interested in signing the forward.
However, it looks like Arsenal now plan to keep the starlet in north London following the news of their contract offer.
Wheatley also added in his report that he understands Folarin Balogun is not expected to renew his contract with Mikel Arteta’s side.
That is a real shame, as the 19-year-old is very highly-rated – he has scored two Europa League goals in just 61 minutes this season.
