Yves Bissouma has reportedly handed in a transfer request, amid speculation about a move to Arsenal.
According to The Times on Sunday, the 24-year-old midfielder has asked to leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer.
The Daily Star reported only last week that Arsenal were favourites to sign the Seagulls star, who also has interest from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur among others.
And back in January, Football London claimed that Bissouma had his heart set on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
With this latest reported development, it’s looking Bissouma’s future is going to be heavily speculated about over the coming months as the transfer window approaches.
Here’s how some Arsenal fans reacted to The Times’ report on Sunday:
Arsenal could probably do with additional midfield support, along with Thomas Partey.
That’s because Mohamed Elneny hasn’t had a brilliant season, Dani Ceballos is reportedly going back to parent club Real Madrid and Granit Xhaka is, well, Granit Xhaka.
That’s unfair on the Swiss midfielder who has, to his credit, been brilliant for Mikel Arteta at times this season.
But he is horrendously inconsistent and nowhere near as mobile as Bissouma, so you can see why Edu is a big fan of the player.
