Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate after reading James Pearce’s five-word tweet about Alisson Becker earlier today.

The Athletic’s Liverpool correspondent relayed Jürgen Klopp’s confirmation that the 44-cap Brazil international was fit to face Everton, and sent supporters wild.

Rumours circulated that the £66.8 million glovesman might be unavailable for the Merseyside derby tomorrow evening.

However, after Klopp set the record straight, he is expected to line up in between the sticks at Anfield.

This is huge news for the Premier League champions.

Alisson is arguably one of Europe’s best goalkeepers, if not the best.

Presumably, the Liverpool backline will feel a lot safer with the 28-year-old behind them, especially against a Toffees side who can cause issues.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one man who could be a problem, and he’s been passed fit for Everton’s short trip to Anfield.

Alisson will know all about him having watched the England international thump a header past Adrian at Goodison Park earlier this season.

In 26 appearances this term, the former Roma shot-stopper has kept eight clean sheets, while conceding 28 goals.

That’s not bad, although he’s capable of more – in his defence, the backline has been ravaged by injuries throughout the campaign.

Let’s see how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to Pearce’s five-word tweet…
