Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after a tweet from Daniel Ek surfaced, amid talk of him potentially buying the club from Stan Kroenke.

The tweet in question was from 2018, and showed Ek talking about Hale End.

Interestingly, the founder of Spotify revealed that he gets ‘peace’ from watching Arsenal’s homegrown players appear for the Gunners.

Now, this tweet has unsurprisingly gone down very well.

In our view, every supporter loves to see their club’s young prospects star for the first-team.

There’s a certain connection to them, as opposed to signing a player from elsewhere for millions.

In Arsenal’s case, the academy has served them well.

Mikel Arteta is currently benefitting from the development of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah.

Elsewhere, Joe Willock – another Hale End product – is shining for Newcastle, while Folarin Balogun recently signed a new contract.

Arsenal fans must be praying that Ek – a clear lover of Hale End – can wrestle the reins from Kroenke.

The latest news – as reported by the Guardian – reveals that Ek has joined forces with Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira in his bid to buy Arsenal.

Surely, that is the best possible situation Arsenal fans could’ve wished for.

A fan rich enough to buy the club from Kroenke, assisted by three Arsenal legends who would surely advise Ek against doing something unpopular.

It’s a very exciting time for Arsenal, following protests against Kroenke’s reign.

Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Ek’s tweet on Hale End from 2018…
