Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club released a statement about Alfredo Morelos after the incident against Livingston.

The statement reveals that the Scottish Football Association have rescinded the yellow card given to the Colombia international for diving on Wednesday.

However, the club share this information in a hilarious, passive aggressive manner – it seems they’ve grown tired of Morelos being hard done by.

The statement reads: ‘No one will be surprised that Alfredo Morelos’ yellow card has been rescinded and we are pleased to have won this appeal.’

While the 24-year-old’s card has been rescinded, Steven Gerrard hasn’t been entirely let off.

The 40-year-old was sent off against Livingston for his heated rant aimed towards John Beaton.

The club were offered just a one-game ban for Gerrard, which they have accepted.

As a result, the ex-Liverpool captain will not be on the touchline for today’s game against St Mirren.

The passive aggressive statement seemed to go down well with supporters on Twitter last night.

One said that the club were ‘spoiling us’ with the hard-hitting statement. Another said that they liked seeing the club take the moral high ground.

However, one other fan said that they nearly had a heart attack after seeing Gerrard’s name at the top of the statement – presumably because they thought be might be off.

Let’s see how some more Rangers fans on Twitter reacted to the club’s tweet from last night…
