Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced that Aaron Ramsey had signed his first professional contract at Villa Park.

The 18-year-old – one of the youngest members of the Under-23 side – has put pen to paper following some impressive displays this season.

Ramsey has scored six goals from midfield in 14 Premier League 2 appearances.

The teenager was also named in the England Under-19 squad back in November – he seems to be a seriously talented prospect.

Ramsey has watched his older brother – 19-year-old Jacob – make his Premier League debut for the Villans this season, and he’s now taken one step forward in his quest to emulate his sibling.

Jacob Ramsey has made four Premier League starts this season, and 13 appearances in total, as he enjoys a real breakthrough campaign.

That should be fantastic news for Aaron, as he can ask his brother for advice on how to make his Premier League debut, and also how to hold his own in England’s top-flight.

It really does feel as if Villa have a few wonderkids waiting to burst onto the scene.

As well as the Ramsey brothers, Dean Smith should be eyeing Louie Barry – who put Liverpool to the sword in the FA Cup.

The likes of Jaden Philogene-Bidace and Carney Chukwuemeka – the latter of whom Liverpool want, according to The Times – are also potential first-teamers.

Let’s see how the Villa fans reacted to the club’s announcement
