Arsenal fans are pleased the reports that Bukayo Saka won’t be playing any part in England’s next game against San Marino, which emerged in the London Evening Standard.
Saka has been selected to join England’s squad, but the Arsenal youngster still hasn’t fully recovered from a hamstring issue.
The Gunners have now decided to keep Saka around, as he aims to get back to full fitness.
The Standard do say that England are hoping that Saka can play some part in their fixtures at the weekend and next week.
But Arsenal supporters are keen for Saka to have no involvement whatsoever, and they are delighted that he is yet to join up with his international teammates.
Arsenal fans’ reaction rather highlights just how important a player Saka has become to them this season.
The youngster is now one of the first names on Mikel Arteta’s teamsheet, and will have a key role to play between now and the end of the season.
Arsenal return to action after the international break with a game against Liverpool on 3rd April.
