Liverpool supporters have been left delighted after James Pearce suggested that Trent Alexander-Arnold will be back in training this week.

The Athletic report that the Liverpool defender is about to shake off his injury problems, as he steps up his return from injury.

Alexander-Arnold could now even be fit to play some part in Liverpool’s game against Wolves at the weekend.

And Reds supporters are rejoicing in the update, which came out yesterday.

If Alexander-Arnold does return to training for Liverpool it will be interesting to see whether Klopp throws him straight back into his line-up.

The England international is a vital player for the Reds, but Klopp surely won’t want to take any risks, with so many players sidelined.

Neco Williams also impressed at right-back in Liverpool’s last game, as he claimed an assist in their 1-0 victory over Ajax in the Champions League, and if Alexander-Arnold doesn’t quite recover in time then he looks the most likely starter on the right-hand side of the Reds’ defence.
